ICYMI: Loudoun League of Women Voters says it can’t get Republican Subba Kolla to partake in public forums

LEESBURG, Va.: On Friday, October 20, the Loudoun Times Mirror reported that Subba Kolla would not respond to requests for a forum with candidates from the 87th district.

Key Quote:

“We are really frustrated because we can't put on a free forum showing nonpartisan discussions,” Joan Kowalski, a director of the local League of Women Voters, said. “I can't hold forums in the eastern districts.”

In the local 87th District, Kowalski said she reached out several times to Republican candidate Subba Kolla and got no response.

Said Delegate John Bell: “It’s incredibly important to me that my voters know what I stand for. That’s why I’ve held five town halls this year and participated in five forums. So far, Republican Subba Kolla has refused to participate in any town halls or forums. Being a no-show candidate is just one more sign that he will be a no-show Delegate if elected.”

Delegate John J. Bell is a 26-year Air Force veteran serving his first term in the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 87th District in Loudoun and Prince William Counties.
