Delegate John Bell Condemns Pres. Trump’s Decision on Climate Agreement

CHANTILLY, Va: Today, Delegate John J. Bell (D – Loudoun) condemned President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement, the global agreement signed at the end of 2015, and is calling on Virginia’s leaders to do the same.

“Denying climate change and shirking responsibility for good stewardship of our nation and world is not what we need from the President of the United States,” said Delegate John J. Bell. “President Donald Trump is wrong to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, and in doing so has shown his ignorance and cowardice for standing up for what’s right for Americans. I call on Republican and Democratic colleagues alike to denounce these actions as intolerable and indefensible.”

Delegate Bell has been recognized for his strong record on defending our environment and conserving our natural resources, and has earned perfect scores from both the Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Virginia League of Conservation Voters for every year he has served in the General Assembly.

Delegate John J. Bell is a 26-year Air Force veteran serving his first term in the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 87th District in Loudoun and Prince William Counties.
