STERLING, Va.: Delegate John J. Bell (D - Loudoun) released the following statement in response to residents of his district in Sterling finding KKK fliers on Friday morning.
“The presence of the KKK, with its long history of violence and intimidation, is not welcome here in Loudoun County and the 87th District. I strongly denounce the KKK’s message, especially since the fliers stir unwarranted ethnic and racial prejudice against our neighbors. We do not and will not accept bigotry and hatred,” said Delegate Bell. “Hate has no home here.”
Delegate Bell continued, “I believe in making our community and Virginia safe for everyone. In the case of any related violence, please look out for one another. If you see something, say something.”
Anyone with any information regarding these cases or with possible surveillance video, are asked to contact Detective R. Reed at 703-777-1021. You may also submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app, which is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
