Del. John Bell Calls on Opponent to Release NRA Questionnaire

CHANTILLY, Va.: Delegate John J. Bell (D – Loudoun) called on Republican Subba Kolla to release the answers to his questionnaire for the National Rifle Association, which earned him the grade of “A” from the organization.

“As a military veteran who has carried a firearm in combat zones, I know how dangerous these weapons can be in the hands of someone wishing to do harm,” said Delegate John Bell. “That’s why I am a strong advocate for firearm safety, and am against civilians having access to flamethrowers, hand grenades, bazookas, and other military-style weapons that the NRA and Republicans in the General Assembly continually try to legalize here in Virginia.”

“Republican Subba Kolla should release his NRA questionnaire to show the voters of the 87th district what he really stands for: no background checks on firearm sales, military-style weapons in the hands of civilians, guns in schools, college campuses, and places of worship, and a more dangerous community for you and your family,” said Jacqueline Hixson, spokesperson for the Bell campaign. “The voters ought to know the truth: that Subba Kolla is too risky for the 87th District and for Virginia.”
