Bell Bulletin: Third Week's the Charm

Dear Constituent,

Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve you in the Virginia House of Delegates.

I want to share with you an update on the third week of legislative session this year.

First of all, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! I certainly hope that 55 is as great a year for me as 54 was, because of your support. My colleagues in the House helped me celebrate too!

HB 286 passed the House of Delegates this week, and will make its way over to the Senate next. This bill will allow wineries the flexibility to allow dogs on their premises if they so choose. I'm excited to see local businesses in Loudoun and Prince William Counties be able to enhance their customers' experience!

This week I also spoke out with my fellow Virginia House Democrats against gun violence. My bill, HB 91, would require in-person training in order to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon. While the bill died, I'm going to continue to lead the charge on making our communities safer for everyone.
